1. How are therapy sessions conducted?

Currently, all sessions are held online via Google Meet. This allows for flexibility, convenience, and the ability to access therapy from the comfort of your own home. In-person sessions can be booked on an appointment basis. Each session lasts for 60 minutes.

2. What can I expect from my first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. It’s an opportunity for me to form an understanding of who you are, what some of your concerns might be, and what life has been like for you recently. It’s also a chance for you to get to know me and my working style. This is a collaborative process, and it's important that you feel comfortable and supported.

3. How often should I attend therapy, and how long will it last?

The frequency of sessions is personalized based on your goals and needs. While many clients start with weekly sessions, the regularity can change as you progress. The length of therapy varies for each individual - some people find a few months of support sufficient, while others prefer long-term engagement. You are always in control, and you can decide the duration of therapy that feels right for you.

4. How is therapy different from talking to friends or family?

While talking to friends or family can be comforting, therapy offers a confidential, unique space where your concerns are met with professional guidance and empathy. A therapist has the expertise to help you navigate your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with a focus on personal growth. Therapy provides tools, insight, and strategies to foster long-term well-being. Unlike friends or family, therapists are trained to listen objectively and help you create actionable changes in your life.

5. How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

Finding the right therapist is essential. During our consultation, we’ll discuss your past experiences with therapy—what’s worked and what hasn’t. It’s also perfectly okay if this is your first time at therapy. This helps me tailor our sessions to meet your needs. Your feedback is welcomed at any point, and I’ll always do my best to adjust and accommodate to ensure therapy is effective for you.

6. How much does therapy cost, and how do I pay?

Therapy fees vary depending on the type of service. Payment is accepted via bank transfer or UPI.

7. Do you offer a sliding scale for therapy fees?

Yes! Finances can be a barrier to therapy, and as you can see, we work to break down every barrier we can!  We understand that therapy should be accessible for everyone, so we offer a sliding scale for clients with financial concerns. There are limited slots available, so please reach out if you’d like to explore this option.

8. What is our rescheduling/ cancellation or no-show policy?

If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before your scheduled session time, unfortunately, we cannot refund the fee as the therapist would have already blocked this time and would be unable to see another client in this lot at such a short notice. In the event of a no-show, where you do not attend your scheduled appointment without prior notice, the full session fee will be charged. 9. Is therapy confidential?

Absolutely. Everything we discuss in therapy remains confidential, and your personal information is protected. The only exceptions to confidentiality are situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

10. What if I’m in a crisis?

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or visit your nearest hospital.
